Maternity & Newborn Photography
The miracle of new life is truly amazing . . . there is nothing quite like the sweet little squeaks & grunts that come from a newborn, happily snuggled in & fast asleep from that milk coma. These little ones are so precious and I love being able to document this amazing stage of a little one's new life.
Here are a few things to remember when planning for a maternity and/or newborn session . . .
*the best time frame for maternity sessions is between 32 & 35 weeks of pregnancy
*maternity sessions take place outdoors at the location of your choice
*newborn sessions are best photographed at 7-12 days of life, as the little ones are much more sleepy
and more cooperative while being the star of the show. It's best to schedule your newborn session (by having me pencil in your due date) several months in advance, so that I can be sure to have time allotted on my calendar when the little one makes his/her appearance.
*newborn sessions are all done in my studio (located next to our home), with a whole variety of props,
wraps, hats, rompers, headbands, etc. available for use.
What is the cost and what do the sessions include?
Maternity sessions are $275, and include 1 hr. of outdoor photography at the location of your choice.
Newborn sessions start at $325, and include 2-3 hours of in-studio photography, with access to all of my props, wraps, headbands, hats, etc. Parents are encouraged to be a part of the newborn session, and are included at no extra charge. Sessions that include older sibling/family photos are $350.
Both maternity & newborn session prices include a PASS gallery of downloadable images, which are edited and ready for you to download, print and share as you wish.
If you are interested in combining both, I do offer a maternity/newborn package that gives you a discounted rate for doing both. Details are under the Grow-With-Me Tab.
A nonfundable retainer of $50 is due to book your session, with the remaining balance due in full at the time of photography. Balance can be paid via cash, check, or credit card.
