Love: Brant & Rachel {Wedding}

I don't even know where to start. This wedding was such a dream to photograph, and we could not have asked for a sweeter couple to celebrate with. Brant & Rachel chose the beautiful sandy beaches at Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina as the location for their wedding, and asked if we would travel there to capture their day. It took us all of a half-second to say "yes!" While it was our first destination wedding (& a totally different scene/setting than we are used to here in Ohio), it was such a pleasure to work alongside Brant & Rachel and their family & friends.

We traveled down to North Carolina, and arrived on Friday after lunch. In the afternoon, they had a rehearsal out on the beach, which gave us a chance to see what the lighting would be like on Saturday afternoon, and to go over some last-minute details before the big day.

On Saturday morning, we arrived at the beach house around 10:30, and hair and makeup were just getting started. Everyone was getting ready right there at the house, and the ceremony/reception were both right out the back door/on the beach, so we could just photograph details, preparation, etc. all at one location.

The weather was gorgeous--sunny and in the 80s. A few clouds hung around in the morning, and then they disappeared by the time the ceremony was ready to start . . .

Could this location for the ceremony be any more gorgeous??

Brant & Rachel wrote their own vows and read them to each other ❤️
